Where should I park? Parking can be tricky out front on certain evenings. Here's what we suggest:
Unwind Yoga Studio | 176 Park Ave. Amherst, Ohio 44001 | 440-984-7611
Copyright UNWIND YOGA AMHERST. All rights reserved.
What time should I arrive? If this is your first time at the studio, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class begins to fill out a waiver and get settled.
What if I'm running late: Please note that for certain classes, the teacher is also the person working the desk for check-ins. Because of this, once class begins, with no one in the front with the boutique and student's personal items, the doors must be locked. We understand that sometime it is difficult or impossible to be on time, but know that we must lock the doors on time for certain classes as the safety of our students AND their stuff is really important to us! Please call with any questions and we apologize for any inconvenience!
What should I wear? Simply wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in.
What should I bring? Bring a water. A small towel can be helpful if you find that you are slipping because of sweat. If you happen to have a yoga mat, or prefer your own props, feel free to bring them! If not, we have mats that can be borrowed and all of the props you may need.
Can my child come too? It depends! For our classes held at a "regular" temp/no temperature specified, we require the child to be 12 years or older. You know your child better than we do, so we ask that you are sure your child will 1. enjoy the class. 2. participate in the class. 3. be quiet and respectful of the rest of the class. Also, you must take the class with your child. Ages 16+ for warm and/or hot classes and must have parent's permission. We do hold classes for children also, typically for ages 5-11. Also, please note that yogis under 18 require parent's signature on our waiver their first time in, yogis under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and for hot classes, all yogis must be at least 16 years old and have their parent's or guardian's permission.
Why are some classes named "warm" and "hot" and others aren't? This does designate the temperature of the room. If no temp is mentioned, the room will be between 70-75 degrees, warm indicates a temperature of 78-82 degrees, and hot indicates a temperature of 86-94 degrees.
Is there anything else I should know? We want your experience, and the experience of all of our students, to be positive and relaxing. For this reason, we do not allow cell phones in the studio. While all classes are not 100% silent and serious (we want you to have fun, too!), we ask that chatting and questions be reserved for before or after class. At that time, we are so happy to help in whatever way we can! Please just let us know!
